After careful thougth and consideration we have decided to implement a suggested dress code for our
competition and social dance weekend.
We have received a number of emails from pros, competitors and social dancers who support our position and a number who
prefer the more relaxed dress code.
Thank you all for your feedback...this is how we continue to improve with your help. Here is our position for the dress
code for the Nashville Classic 2006.
Dress Code for the Nashville Classic Relaxed....
In our previous email we notified everyone that we were implementing a dress code for the main ballroom
on Friday and Saturday night during the prime time hours of 7:00 PM-midnight. We have listenend to opinions pro & con
and wish to thank everyone who supports our effort to ask attendees to show respect to our competitors and performers by dressing
up for the evening. We also wish to thank those who came forward and expressed concerns over this issue.Out of repect for
those attendees and their concerns, as well as those who were very positive and supported our position, we have decided to
relax our dress code for the Nashville Classic to a
"Suggested Dress Code" rather than "Mandatory". In fairness to
attendees who have purchased a ticket prior to this announcement we feel that this is the correct decision.
We are still asking everyone to consider "dressing to impress" on both Friday and Saturday night. Again, this is
not mandatory just our hopeful wish that jeans, tennis shoes and t-shirts will be avoided during the show part of the evening.
We are suggesting comfortable attire for dancing and with the added value of looking appropriate. We leave that to your disgression.
We want all attendees and staff to have a good time and enjoy the Nashville Classic Experience. The directors and staff
of the Nashville Classic are working hard to bring you the best competition and social dance weekend in the USA.
Our goal is provide you a classy environment to have fun while learning to dance, while observing Champions display their
performance and competition skills, and while just enjoying good 'ole social dancing!
Check for the schedule and requirements in a few days.
(Gentlemen...No need to worry, coats and ties will not required at any time!)
